MA-Motorsports and Nissan Motorsports team up to build the ultimate 370Z Track Day car...
After many years of experience both on and off the track, MA-Motorsports has made a name for itself in the industry for tuning and modifying Nissans and Z cars. Nissan Motorsports recognized this and the two began a collaboration to build the Project Clubsport 23, a tastefully modified 370Z chassis to be used as a rolling test bed for Nismo and associates products.
In addition to some trick, subtle aesthetic upgrades, the standout of this project is really the power plant. A factory Twin Turbo V6 engine was chosen to power the car like the 370Zs predecessor, the 300ZX. In this instance the newer VR30DDTT package found in later model Nissan/ Infiniti's but to keep its raw, sports car roots, the original 6 Speed manual transmission from the 370Z was to be used. There was not just a powerful engine upgrade performed though. Extensive enhancements were made to the suspension, brakes, cooling system along with both interior and exterior of the car as well to round out the ultimate track car package.
More details and some behind the scenes build photos will be available here on the site in the coming week.
