It is Friday my dudes!
Kenric Lamar
In a previous blog, we discussed some of the changes we're making to Kenric's E36. Chris has been absolutely crushing the rest of the work, the radiator is mounted and ducted from a new rear windshield. The air ducting follows a pretty radical shape coming down out of the window, and he's done an excellent job making the metal flow into place.
Erik's Subframe
Erik's M45 is still progressing, we scanned the rear subframe while it was in the car, and have dropped it out to facilitate mounting of a Winters quickchange differential. Being an uncommon chassis, solid subframe bushings aren't readily available for them, so we've had Marco machining some supplied 350z subframe bushings to fit the M45 subframe. Once we get the differential mounted and installed, it's back to finishing up the downpipe fabrication before we build the rest of the exhaust.
GT-R back from paint
The shop project GT-R is back from the paint shop, where we've had the engine bay sprayed in the same KH2 Gunmetal Grey Metallic as the rest of the body. From the factory the engine bay was painted Black with a hardcoat applied overtop, and while ours was in good shape, if the engine is out for work anyway, why not paint the bay to match and make the car look that little bit better?
